9/11 Tribute:8 Years ago, the United States experienced one of the most tragic event in it's history. Nineteen terrorists hijacked 4 commercial airlines with the intentions of crashing them. There were 246 people on board those planes, people like you and me, not knowing that it will be the last flight they will ever take. There were no survivors after the crashes. In addition to the ones that died on the planes, an additional 2,603 died in New York and another 24 at the Pentagon. The staggering total of almost 3,000 deaths put the whole nation into shock. Many of us felt fear, that we are no longer even safe on our own soil from terrorist attacks. Many others felt sadness and sorrow for the ones who lost their lives in the incidents. For some, the effects of the attacks still carry on today. You might not have lost someone that day, but put yourself into a position of a person who did. How would've that affected your life? For the fortunate ones who never had to experience that feeling, lets pay our respects to the people that died on that day, Americans or non Americans. Patriotism should not be limited to ones own country, but for the entire world. A world where it is safe, a world where we can all call our home.
